Terms of Membership

1. Membership Agreement

By joining the Texas Short-Term Rental Association (TXSTRA), you agree to these Terms of Membership. Your membership grants you access to TXSTRA resources, communications, and voting rights as outlined below.

2. Annual Membership

TXSTRA memberships are annual subscriptions that automatically renew each year. The membership fee is $100 per membership per year.

3. Auto-Renewal

Your membership will automatically renew at the end of each annual term unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will receive a renewal notice from Stripe before your next billing cycle.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting us at hello@txstra.org. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial membership periods.

5. Refunds

Membership fees are non-refundable except in cases of duplicate charges or billing errors. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us within 30 days.

6. Voting Rights

Each membership equals one vote in TXSTRA matters. Members with multiple memberships receive one vote per membership purchased. Voting rights are active only while your membership is in good standing (paid and current).

7. Code of Conduct

Members are expected to:

  • Treat fellow members, staff, and partners with respect
  • Engage constructively in TXSTRA communications and events
  • Comply with all applicable short-term rental laws and regulations
  • Not use TXSTRA resources for illegal or unethical purposes

8. Membership Termination

TXSTRA reserves the right to terminate memberships for violations of this Code of Conduct, non-payment, or other reasons that compromise the integrity of the association.

9. Changes to Terms

TXSTRA may update these Terms of Membership from time to time. Members will be notified of significant changes via email. Continued membership after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
